Reflections:
Working remotely on the other side of the world always makes things tricker. The feedback cycle essentially hampered by time zones and distance.
I found the confidence gained through my time with POW Studios made my communication far more clear. As with all low-budget projects, there were limitations on things like dialogue as there was no room for ADR nor spending weeks trying different ways to clean it. It was also a good exercise into thinkings about what’s important. Without the ability to give a big grandiose full soundscape I had to dig into what elements of sound were truly necessary to provide the greatest sonic impact.
